The Woman Behind Giardino di Luce
What is your role within Giardino Di Luce?
I am the creative director and founder of Giardino Di Luce
Have you been to Italy before ?
I certainly have ! , I have been 5 times, my first going time was back in 2000 I was 3 years old.
How would you rate your Italian?
I would say a solid 7 out of 10 ! I speak predominately the Calabrese dialect I can under the proper Italian more than what I can speak- it's definitely something I want to learn though !
Whats your favourite thing about going to Italy?
Honestly, everything. The monuments, churches and museums are incredible, but what I love most is returning to family and spending time in the town together. Life in Southern Italy feels slower and more nonchalant compared to Australia, where everything often feels fast-paced and always on the go.
In the town, people bring their chairs outside and sit together watching the day pass, or meet at the bar for an espresso with their paesani.
What makes Giardino Di Luce different?
Giardino di Luce is more than a brand — it’s a reflection of Southern Italy. Inspired by memories, landscapes and the natural beauty of Calabria, each product is designed to simplify your routine while enhancing your natural glow. Effortless beauty and considered ingredients remain at the heart of Giardino di Luce.
What are your hobbies outside of your business?
Outside of Giardino di Luce, I enjoy travelling (or planning our next trip), gardening and spending time around food, family and design and of course shopping haha ! — the things that continue to inspire me daily.
